America E. Perez, born on April 14, 1943, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico, passed away on May 21, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose life was marked by her loving commitment to her family.

America embraced her roles with unwavering dedication and love. She was married to her husband, Ruperto Perez Olivarez, who survives her. Together, they raised a large and loving family, instilling strong values in their children: daughters Guillermina Perez, Marisela Badillo, and Enriqueta Sanchez, and sons Enrique Perez and Jaime Perez. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family to thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

A proud sister, America was part of a close-knit family including her sisters Martha Estrada, Socorro Estrada, Jesucita Estrada, Noemi Estrada, and her brother Victor Estrada, all of whom survive her. She also remembered fondly the late Arreondo Estrada, a dearly departed family member.

America's life journey from her birthplace in Allende to her final days in San Antonio was marked by resilience, warmth, and a quiet strength.
