It is with profound respect and heartfelt remembrance that we honor the life of Jesus Natividad Diaz Morado, a man whose legacy resonates deeply within his family and community. Born on May 11, 1968, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Jesus passed away on May 22, 2026, in Eagle Pass, Texas. His life journey was marked by dedication, love, and a spirit that touched the lives of many.
Jesus was a lovable person—hardworking, joyful, and caring—remarkably selfless as he consistently placed the needs of others before his own. His affectionate nature earned him the lasting role of a beloved grandfather and a loving Husband to Marivel Diaz
Professionally, Jesus took immense pride in his work as a trucker, a vocation that reflected his relentless work ethic and commitment. In his earlier years, he was well known for his dynamic involvement in Lucha Libre, competing under the ring name "El Dragon Asesino." His spirited presence extended into the motorcycle community, where he was affectionately known as "Dragon," a testament to his striking personality and community stature.
Beyond his professional and public life, Jesus enjoyed outdoor pursuits such as fishing and hunting, pastimes that harmonized with his connection to nature and his heritage.
Jesus’s departure leaves a significant void that is felt most intimately by his surviving family members. He is mourned by his devoted spouse, Marivel Diaz; his daughters, Naylea Diaz, Chantel Marie, Joanna Diaz, and Joally Lee Diaz; and his sons Thomas Propp, David Maldonado, Jr., and Derek Maldonado. He also leaves behind an extended family including his sisters Veronica Diaz, Adelita Lopez, Mireya Diaz, Amy Diaz, Yesenia Diaz, and Ali Diaz, as well as brothers Jorge Alberto Diaz, Marco Antonio Diaz, Carlos Lopez, Jr., Benito Lopez, Franke Lopez, Victor Manuel Lopez Morado, and Dario Diaz. His legacy continues through his nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom carry forward the love and values he embodied.
The community is invited to honor and celebrate the life of Jesus Natividad Diaz Morado through a series of commemorative services. The visitation will be held on May 27, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riojas Funeral Home, located at 1451 S Veterans Blvd, Eagle Pass, TX. A rosary will be prayed at the same venue on May 27 at 6:00 PM. A second visitation on May 28 will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Refuge Church, 810 Ceylon St., Eagle Pass, TX. The burial service will take place on May 28 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery, situated at 1679 Flowers Drive, Eagle Pass, TX.
As we remember Jesus Natividad Diaz Morado, we reflect on a life well-lived, touched by strength, passion, and an enduring love for family and community. His memory remains a guiding light to all who had the privilege to know him.
