Obituary

Juan Fernando Martinez, a respected figure in the Eagle Pass community, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on January 25, 1954, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Juan dedicated his life to enriching the lives of those around him.

Throughout his life, Juan was known not only for his strong family ties but also for his remarkable ability to be a father figure to many children, providing guidance and support even as they grew into adulthood. His warm presence and nurturing spirit left an undeniable mark on the hearts of countless individuals.

Juan is survived by his beloved spouse, Norma Martinez, and their cherished son, Angel Gabriel Martinez Flores. He is also mourned by his siblings, Norma Leticia Aguirre and Gerardo Martinez Ramirez. Juan's legacy will endure through the loving memories shared with his living family members.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Maria De Pilar Martinez Ramirez and Lourdes Martinez Ramirez, both of whom will be fondly remembered by their loved ones as well.

In the days following Juan's passing, visitation services will be held at Riojas Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on January 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on January 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Friends and family are also invited to attend a Mass service at St. Joseph Church on January 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM followed by Interment at Our Lady of Refuge of Cemetery.

As we remember Juan Fernando Martinez, we honor his unwavering dedication to family, friends, and the community, as well as his lifelong commitment to his faith. His impact will be felt for generations to come.
