Juanita A. Minton, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully November 4, 2025, in Eagle Pass, Texas. Born on October 20, 1928, in Spofford, Texas, Juanita's life spanned nearly a century, during which she made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is predeceased by her husband, Roy M. Minton, and her son, Luis A. Minton, both of whom she held dear throughout her life and she is also preceded in passing by her 4 siblings, Odelia Martin, Refugia Banda, Epifanio Amaya and Juan Amaya. A devoted mother, Juanita leaves behind her son, Raymundo Minton, and daughter, Evangelina Cisneros, who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Juanita was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and wisdom.
In honoring her memory, friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Juanita's life during the visitation on November 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary service at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on November 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
The Mass honoring Juanita's life will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church on November 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Following the Mass, Juanita will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery, where friends and family can gather for the burial service commencing at 3:00 PM.
Juanita A. Minton leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience that will forever resonate within the hearts of her family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
