Juanita Velasquez Vallejo, a lifelong resident of Eagle Pass, Texas, passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on November 18, 1951, in Eagle Pass, she remained deeply connected to the church throughout her life.

Ms. Velasquez Vallejo is remembered with great affection by her surviving family members, including her daughters Laura Olivo and Vanessa Velasquez; her sisters Esperanza Salinas and Mariana Gomez; her brother Enrique Velasquez; as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Humberto Vallejo.

A visitation will be held on April 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Riojas Funeral Home, located at 1451 S Veterans Blvd, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852. A Rosary service will take place later that evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at Riojas Funeral Home. The following day, April 7, there will be an additional visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 2055 Williams St., Eagle Pass, beginning at 11:00 a.m., concluding at noon. followed by cremation services on April 8th.

Juanita’s enduring presence in Eagle Pass and her cherished relationships with family stand as a testament to her strength and devotion. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, and she will be always loved and missed.
