Julio Arreola Escalante, born on December 19, 1958, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, passed away on November 7, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was a dedicated family man whose love for his family was evident throughout his life. Julio was the cherished husband of the late Graciela Arreola and the loving father of five children: Israel Arreola, Ismael Arreola, Adriana Arreola, Rubi Arreola, and Esmeralda Arreola. He took great pride in being a devoted grandfather to his 14 grandchildren, instilling in them the values of hard work and love.

Julio is also survived by several brothers and sisters, who will carry forward the legacy of his spirit and the memories forged together throughout the years. He is predeceased by his beloved spouse, Graciela, as well as two of his children, Perla Arreola and Julio Cesar Arreola.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for November 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riojas Funeral Home, located at 1451 S Veterans Blvd, Eagle Pass, TX 78852. A Rosary will take place on the same day at 6:00 PM.

The visitation will continue on November 13, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass in Julio’s honor will be held at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Refuge Church, situated at 810 Ceylon St., Eagle Pass, TX 78852, followed by a burial service at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery at 1679 Flowers Drive, Eagle Pass, TX 78852, at 12:00 PM.

Julio Arreola Escalante will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his commitment to being a guiding force in their lives. His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy will continue to thrive through all who knew him.
