Lorenzo Menchaca Gomez passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 100 in Eagle Pass, Texas. Born on August 10,1925, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Lorenzo lived a life marked by dedication to his family and unwavering commitment to his values.

He is survived by his three sons: Justiniano Menchaca Fuentes, Lorenzo Guadalupe Menchaca, and Rodolfo Menchaca Fuentes. Lorenzo’s legacy continues with his eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, who all carry forward the love and lessons he instilled in them.

Lorenzo was preceded in passing by his beloved spouse, Amelia Fuentes Menchaca, who played an integral role in his life, as well as his dear siblings: Vicenta Menchaca Gomez, Maria Isabel Menchaca Gomez, Evangelina Menchaca, Rosa Maria Menchaca Gomez, Herlinda Menchaca Gomez, Alicia Menchaca Gomez, and Jesus Maria Menchaca Gomez. Each of these individuals contributed uniquely to the rich tapestry of his life, and their memories remain a significant part of his story.

He will be deeply missed by all his family, who will remember him for his wisdom, kindness, and the enduring love he shared with those around him. His remarkable life long journey reflects a life well-lived, marked by the bonds of family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico and Interment will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Jardin De Los Angeles Cemetery.
