Luz Esther De Hoyos, born on July 18, 1943 in Puerto Rico, peacefully departed from this world on December 15, 2025, in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was a person of remarkable strength and kindness, whose life was a testament to her enduring love for family and unyielding spirit.

Luz is survived by her beloved daughter, Sonia Ebeth De Hoyos, who carries forward her mother’s legacy of compassion and resilience. Additionally, she will be fondly remembered by her brother, Benedicto Rodriguez, along with her four wonderful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride into her life.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Flavio Baldemar De Hoyos, whose companionship was a vital part of her life journey. She also mourned the loss of her son, Daniel De Hoyos, and her dear sister, Maria Villanueva, each leaving a profound impact on her heart.

Luz Esther De Hoyos will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and love for her family. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her.

Cremation services were held on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
