Margarita Flores Melchor passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Eagle Pass, Texas, at the age of 83. Born on February 20, 1942, in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, Margarita brought warmth and light to the lives of many through her passionate spirit and devotion to family.

Margarita was married to Manuel Melchor Fuentes, with whom she shared a life filled with love and companionship. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family that included three daughters, Maria De Lourdes Melchor Sanchez, Sonia Melchor Jimenez, and Norma Alicia Melchor Rodriguez, as well as four sons, Manuel N. Melchor, Bonifacio Melchor, Lazaro Jaime Melchor, and Javier Melchor. Her legacy continues through her 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Family gatherings were often filled with laughter and joy, with Margarita's affection for sunflowers and yellow roses adding a vibrant touch to her home. She grew up in a household with 6 siblings; sisters, Matilde Flores, Paulina Flores, Martina Flores and Gregoria Flores; brothers, Leandro Flores, and Santos Flores.

Margarita’s life will be celebrated with visitation services held at the Riojas Funeral Home in Eagle Pass on December 5, 6, and 7, 2025. On December 7, a Mass will be conducted at Temple Gethsemani at 12:00 PM, followed by her burial at Melchor Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Her family and friends are encouraged to come together to honor a remarkable woman whose legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Margarita Flores Melchor leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories and a familial bond that will continue to thrive through the generations she has touched. Her devotion to her family and her enduring spirit will forever be cherished.
