Maria Del Socorro Herrera, born on June 29, 1938, in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother, whose legacy will endure through her loving family and friends.

Maria was the beloved mother of two daughters, Cynthia C. Castillo Arreola and Anabel Garcia Herrera. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be remembered fondly by her family. She also leaves behind a legacy as a proud grandmother to her grandchildren: Johnny Moroni Martinez, Aaron Nettali Arreola, David Olive Arreola, and Celeste Analy Arreola, who brought her immense joy. In addition to her immediate family, Maria is survived by her sister, Amalia Herrera De Pecina.

A viewing for Maria's family and friends to gather and honor her life will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Followed by cremation services to be held at a later date.
