Maria Aurelia Vielma, a cherished and loved person, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Eagle Pass, Texas, at the age of 92. Born on September 25, 1933, in Richmond, Texas, Maria lived a life filled with dedication to her family

She is survived by her devoted children, Dora Maria Cabrera, Maria Del Carmen Ramos, Ana Lucia Oca, Juan Antonio Cruz Vielma, Daniel Cruz Vielma, Rodolfo Cruz Vielma, and Mario Alberto Cruz Vielma. Maria was also the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandmother to 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored deeply.

In addition to her children and their families, Maria is survived by her siblings: Guadalupe Gomez, Juanita Hernandez, Juan Vielma, Cruz Guerra, Manuel Vielma, Fidencio Vielma, and Ruben Vielma. Together, they share many fond memories of their time with Maria, whose spirit and warmth touched the lives of those around her.

Maria was preceded in death by her spouse, Apolonio Cruz Mendez, and her sons, Jose Juan Cruz Vielma and the late Mario Alberto Cruz Vielma. Their absence is felt profoundly, but their spirits remain intertwined with the love she shared throughout her life.

Maria Aurelia Vielma will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her kind-hearted nature. Her legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who carry forward the values she instilled in them.
