Napoleon Hector Ramon, a lifelong resident of Eagle Pass, Texas, passed away in his hometown on June 26, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 26, 1945, in Eagle Pass, Mr. Ramon spent eight decades deeply connected to the community that shaped him and which he, in turn, influenced with dignity and kindness.
Mr. Ramon will be remembered as a steadfast brother, devoted son, and respected member of the local community. His ties to family endured throughout his life. He is survived by his sister, Evangelina Fourneau, and brothers, Alberto M. Ramon and Oscar Alfredo Ramon, each of whom cherished his unwavering support and wise counsel. The memory of his departed loved ones, including his sister Luz Maria R. Salazar, his mother Margarita Ramon and his father Napoleon Ramon remained close to his heart.
Throughout his years, Napoleon Hector Ramon became a familiar and esteemed presence in Eagle Pass. The wide circle of friends and community members who knew him found in Napoleon a man of quiet strength and reliability. Those who had the privilege of knowing him recognized his deep commitment to family values, respect for tradition, and dedication to service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served 3 tours in Vietnam and combat duty during the Fall of Saigon.
Final arrangements for Mr. Ramon have been entrusted to Riojas Funeral Home at 1451 S Veterans Blvd, Eagle Pass, TX 78852. Public visitation will be held on July 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riojas Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A second visitation will take place on July 2, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Catholic Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Refuge Church, located at 810 Ceylon St., Eagle Pass, TX 78852. Burial services will be conducted at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery, 1679 Flowers Drive, Eagle Pass, beginning at 12:00 PM. Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery between 12:15 PM and 12:30 PM, reflecting a component of service and respect that marked Mr. Ramon’s life.
As his family and friends gather to honor Napoleon Hector Ramon, his enduring legacy of integrity, loyalty, and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
