Norma Guadalupe Saldivar Escobar, born May 23, 1957, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, whose presence and warmth made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Ivonne Ivette Cortes, who cherishes the memory and guidance her mother provided throughout her life. Norma’s family bonds extended to her brother, Arturo Saldivar, and her nieces and nephews: Arturo E. Saldivar, Sergio R. Saldivar, and Xochitl W. Leyva. Among her many treasured roles was that of grandmother to Leslie Cortes.

Throughout her years, Norma exemplified dedication and resilience. Her contributions to those around her, both within her family and beyond, resonate as a testament to the profound influence one individual can have.
