Ricardo Diaz, born on March 28, 1965, in Eagle Pass, Texas, passed away on August 23, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy shaped by family connections, unwavering dedication, and a lasting impact on those who were privileged to know him.

Ricardo’s life began in the vibrant border community of Eagle Pass, where his formative years shaped the values he would carry with him throughout life—integrity, devotion to family, and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Over the years, Ricardo established meaningful bonds that endured across decades and generations.

He is remembered with respect by his children: his daughter Joanna Diaz, and his sons Ricardo Diaz, Jr., Mario Diaz, and Joey Diaz. He was further blessed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Within his extended family, Ricardo maintained close relationships with his sisters, Carmen Melia Garza and Maricela Avila, and his brother, Jorge Diaz. Their mutual support were a source of strength and comfort. Ricardo is also fondly remembered by other family members and friends whose lives he touched.

Ricardo’s memory is honored alongside that of his brothers, Luis Alberto De La Torre and Victor Manuel Diaz, who preceded him in death. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. a Rosary will also be held at 6:00 p.m.  followed by Cremation Services at a later date.
