Rolando Lopez, a lifelong resident of Eagle Pass, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on October 5, 1972, Mr. Lopez was well-known in his community and beloved by family and friends alike.

A dedicated family man and cherished friend, Rolando found great joy in spending time outdoors. He loved to hunt and enjoyed fishing, activities through which he forged many lasting memories. His passion for these pursuits was a hallmark of his life, reflecting a deep connection to nature and the community around him.

Rolando is survived by his loving daughter Elly Lopez and son Ro Lopez. He also leaves behind his brothers Arturo "Art" Lopez and his spouse Liz, Jose "Joe" Lopez, and Ricardo "Rica" Lopez with his spouse Loretta. His extended family includes nieces Brittany Nicole and Kristina, and nephews Danny, Nicholas, Joey and Cecil, who all held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Lopez, his mother Emma Lopez, and his father Jose Gilberto Lopez. Their memories remain a treasured part of Rolando’s enduring legacy.

The family will receive visitors at Riojas Funeral Home located at 1451 S Veterans Blvd, Eagle Pass, TX 78852. The first visitation will be held on June 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A second visitation will take place on June 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

On June 6, 2026, a Mass will be celebrated in his honor at Sacred Heart Church, 2055 Williams St., Eagle Pass, TX 78852, beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial services will follow at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery, 1679 Flowers Drive, Eagle Pass, TX 78852, starting at 12:00 PM.
