Rosario Rico Fernandez passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, at the age of 98 in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was born on May 3, 1927 in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico.

Rosario was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Ramon Fernandez, and her devoted sisters Violeta Rico and Rosamelia Rico. She also mourned the loss of her brothers Raul Rico, Reynaldo Rico, and Roberto Rico. Despite these profound losses, Rosario's legacy continues to shine brightly through her surviving family members.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Elena Fernandez Guajardo, and her sons Juan Ramon Fernandez, Fernando Fernandez, and Leopoldo Fernandez. Each of her four children carries forward the love and lessons imparted by their mother. Rosario was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, leaving behind 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

The family takes this time to honor her remarkable life and the lasting impact she had on her loved ones. Rosario Rico Fernandez will be remembered not just for the years she lived, but for the kindness and love she freely shared with all around her. 

Cremation services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
